Gabriel G. Carvalho
Computer Vision Engineer | Researcher

Bio: I'm currently a Researcher at imec, specializing in Computer Vision/Image Processing, Machine/Deep Learning, Georeferenced Data Science/Analysis, Hyperspectral Images, and Remote Sensing. My academic background is in mathematics (B.Sc. and M.Sc.), with a strong focus on differential geometry and topology. I earned my Ph.D. in physics, specifically in relativistic astrophysics, from the University of Rome "La Sapienza," where I was mentored by Prof. Remo Ruffini and D. Bini.

My current passions include computational photography, computer vision, machine learning, quantum computing, data science, and time series analysis and forecasting, particularly in chaotic systems.
